On friday we had a dance in the afternoon which I only stayed at for about an hour and 15 minutes and then it got boring so I sat on the steps with a few other people.

On Saturday I went to Balbo park and saw Greece again with all of Cluster 1 and some others. Greece was boring and some other people fell asleep so after we saw it, we broke up into different groups. Me, mike, forrest, GQ, Melissa, and Sid ate at the Prado at balbo park. In the afternoon we worked on our 1 minute presentation and finished everything except the lightsabers and titles.

On Sunday I went home and played x-box, and talked with the family, and ate papa john's pizza for dinner.

On Monday, we had another okay day of class. We saw a cool video by GQ, Matt, and Sid which was made to the background music of captain planet. We did a review lecture of python which wasn't to bad but was review from friday so I got a little bored. It was really fun to learn how to addd extra layers in and to add the lightsabers in and make it look like me and Eric were holding them.

On Tuesday, we had a boring lecture on beach mice. It was boring cause it was on biology and biology isnt my most favorite subject. I still stayed awake and was attentive the whole time but sometimes I just dont care that much that group 6 of a subspecies of beach mice is extinct and I dont care if you find which dna thing affects color. Its intresting but just not entertaining cause I probably will not major in biology. Later we finished up the presentations and turned in the papers. After Lunch we had an exciting adventure at petco park.

I am doing another paragraph for petco park because it was so fun. At petco park we went to the control room where they worked the jumbo tron and we got to see all the electronics that ran it. After explaining some of the electronics we broke up in groups and I went off and got to run a camera. It was a lot of fun and I got sit in a rolly chair that was on a set path. After this we drove back and James beat Lindsay back to UCSD and we also rocked the car when we were at a stop light ahead of Lindsay.

On Wensday, which is today, we worked with python and I spent about 30 minutes- 1 hour trying to figure out what was wrong with my code and debugging an error where a picture wouldnt appear when I kept trying to run my code. The teacher-assitant even came over to help and after about 30 minutes with her, she figured out that the error was with JES and that I need to restart JES each time I ran my code because it was broken. I was unable to finish my collage but hopefully I will finish today after I finish blogging. In the afternoon, we worked with Preimer Pro and got in our groups to decide what we were going to do and what we were going to need for the board.

On Monday I had a fun doing python and I figured out how to turn kermit green easily. It was all realitive and before I was just trying set numbers. I made kermit turn blue on a black, red, blue, and white background but I couldn't make it work on the green background. After I did all this it was time for lunch so I went to lunch and had rubios. It was so good....
After I came back we I learned how to use Adobe Premier Pro 1.5 and it was cool and hopefully I will start using it more often. I took a nap in the afternoon and then wrote my paper. I slept through dinner so I only had triscuits/cheeseits/powerbars. I finished my paper and then emailed it and went to sleep.

On Tuesday the presentation in the morning was okay but not as good as the one on dark. We had another lecture done by our teacher fellow which was not as boring as the grammar lessons. In the afternoon we had a good lecture done by Joe and then we got to relax on the computers and got to write our blogs.

So its the dreaded monday again.

I had a great weekend of just laying down and doing nothing, but now tonight I have to go type a paper because I wasn't doing anything over the weekend.

I went to the beach on Saturday to watch the sunset and on Sunday I got my computer from my dad.

So its day 5 and we started learning python(on day 4) and on day 5 afternoon we had more of a discussion on robots and thinking but we didnt go to far in depth because we talked more about what the defenition of information and a computer was. I learned that a slide ruler is an analog computer and that an abacus is a digital computer.

In the morning of day 5 we had an intresting discovery lecture on dark energy and dark matter. This was then followed by a not so intresting lecture on grammar (though helpful(at least suppose to help us for our future)).

On day 4, in the afternoon we did photoshop and listened to Paul lecture about CS and computers. IN the mornign we learned about Python (which was boring because I had already learned a lot about programming and was really easy to pick up).

Yesterday, we finished with the first day of work at COSMOS and its seemed somewhat interesting. I like the idea that I will be learning Python. It seems somewhat similar to C++ and Java but it will be hard getting used to some of the stuff that is different. In addition the camera's are cool because you can take tons of photos and we will later be using these in our project.

The first day after our parents left was intresting becuase we were able to quickly get to know our cluster and our roomates and dorm buddies. Our cluster was able to start up an on the spot game of ultimate frisbee while we were waiting for dinner. After dinner we read over some more rules and started a fun game of capture the flag in which the blue team(my team) one the first two, but lost the last game.

Its almost the end of the 3rd day of class. In the morning, we listened to a speaker speak about BBD's (Brain based system/ AI). It was an intresting speech but was not very indepth and I hope we can go visit the labs because it would be cool to see what the code looks like and how these machines work in real life set up.

In the afternoon of the third day, we had a seminar style class. We had an indepth discussion about whether machines could think. After we finished that discussion we left and went down to the comp lab and I wrote this blog.
